FrameGrabber 4 MultiBox One

FrameGrabber 4 MultiBox One

Video capture

FrameGrabber 4 MultiBox One is a compact version of the bigger FrameGrabber 4 MultiBox with a one PCIe slot.  It allows capturing up to two video streams from various LVDS buses and directly from in-car displays. It is a powerful, standalone, and versatile solution not only for video applications. It is the best choice for laboratory and in-car applications, thanks to its compact dimensions.

Product Description

FrameGrabber 4 MultiBox One is part of Digiteq Automotive FrameGrabber 4 (FG4) modular ecosystem. It is a powerful, standalone, and versatile solution not only for video applications. It is the best choice for laboratory and in-car applications thanks to its compact dimensions.

One FG4 PCIe Card (sold separately) can be inserted into the device, which brings the capability for grabbing up to 2 video inputs together with generating 2 video outputs.

Captured video streams can be transmitted via 1 Gbit Ethernet as a TCP/UDP stream to a remote PC or stored locally to either an internal SSD drive or a Memory Card.

The device supports H.264 and H.265 video coding and RGB or YUV colour coding for video that is stored locally and/or transmitted via Ethernet to a PC.

FrameGrabber 4 MultiBox One offers a wide range of triggered events. GPIO pins and the CAN-FD input can be used as trigger sources with the ability to assign various events to each trigger, such as start/stop capturing, entering sleep mode, etc.

CAN-FD inputs are used not only as the sources of trigger, but also full CAN-FD communication can be captured and re-streamed via
1 Gbit Ethernet as a TCP stream.

The User Web Interface is used for configuring the FrameGrabber 4 MultiBox One. It allows an advanced configuration of video input and output parameters, network and storage settings, as well as the trigger subsystem.

Accessories

Framegrabber 4

FrameGrabber 4 PCIe card presents a powerful grabbing solution that allows multiple video streams to be processed simultaneously. The core of the solution presents a PCIe card with interchangeable LVDS modules. FrameGrabber 4 PCIe cards can be inserted into the appropriate PCIe slot in a PC or with the FrameGrabber4 MultiBox / MultiBox One.

GMSL 2/3 interface module
  • GMSL 2/3 interface module allows grabbing of the GMSL2/3 LVDS bus with the FrameGrabber 4 PCIe card.
  • The module is directly connected to the LVDS bus between the infotainment main unit (ZR) and the infotainment LCD display.
  • For interconnections, LVDS cables for GMSL 2/3 are used (H-MTD cables).
FPDLink3 interface module
  • FPD link III interface module allows grabbing of the FPD Link III LVDS bus with the FrameGrabber 4 PCIe card.
  • The FPD Link 3 LVDS bus is currently used in the majority of VW infotainments group equipment with a separate central unit (ZR) and LCD display.
  • For interconnections, LVDS cables for FPD Link III are used.
C3 interface
  • C-adapteur is grabbing a real videostream that is generated by the display unit and allows to see a full image of the display (f.ex. together with safety icons).
  • C-adapteur transfer parallel interface of any display into the standard LVDS protocol.
DC Boost
  • The backup module is intended for application when the FG4 MultiBox or FG multiBox One is installed in a car and is powered by a car battery.
  • It provides backup functionality to cover voltage drops and surges during engine starts.
  • It prevents the FrameGrabber4 MultiBox or FrameGrabber4 MultiBox One from restarting caused to voltage drop-offs.
