Development of HiL systems

Comprehensive tailor-made test system solutions  

We can build any test system – from simple breadboards and real-time testbenches to advanced G-HiLs. We also provide test system management and complete project coordination from start to finish: design, construction, system commissioning, as well as integration of our DiRK platform into all types of HiLs, real-time testbenches, and breadboard systems.  

If needed, we can develop and manufacture most hardware and software components in-house. Thanks to our extensive experience, we can flexibly adjust design proposals according to the customer's current priorities. Our solutions can be fully automated using group tools such as TestAut, ENNA, EXAM, etc.. 

Our HiL solutions: Modularity, automation, and virtualization  

We build on modular, easily expandable construction (Racks and Drawers) and, in suitable cases, replace complex and costly ECUs with our own software and hardware models. By using rest-bus simulation, we only need a single control unit and our own DiRK simulation platform, which enables scalable real-time testing. We have extensive know-how in the use of virtual reality, and our HiL systems fully support remote access, including control and service. We also specialize in developing automated tests and tailor-made HiL solutions that ensure a smooth transition from design to implementation. Besides the design and construction of HiL systems, we also offer their operation and testing as a standalone service. 

Secure data management and know-how within the VW Group  

The benefits of group partnership are also reflected in everyday practice – from seamless access to internal data, through knowledge sharing, to natural integration into internal VW Group processes. Our solution is compatible with other group tools, such as Digiteq Automotive’s own Remote Test Lab (RTL) or the CARIAD-developed Platin. We adapt HiL development to the current needs of group partners and respond flexibly to new situations.  

Thanks both to our full affiliation with the VW Group and to our providing end-to-end services, there is no need to share know-how or documentation with external companies, thus intellectual property remains within the group.
