The simulator represents a device intended for the BCM unit testing.
Testing is performed by means of various stimulus with impact to induce conditions nearly close to car environment. It stimulates existing BCM unit by simulated physical conditions, such as car speed, engine RPM and engine temperature, etc. These parameters are adjusted in straightforward and user-friendly way by turning dedicated knobs located on front panel of device.
User operates the device directly by control elements located on front panel of the device or remotely via HS CAN interface. Controls on front panels have either dedicated function or context function based on the information shown on the 4.3-inch graphical LCD display. Knobs on front panel are by default dedicated to adjust car speed, engine RPM, engine temperature and combi cluster dimming. It is possible to switch these knobs into alternate function and to adjust duty cycles of 2 power 3 A PWM outputs and voltage of 2 analog outputs.
The Motor Simulator is capable also to emulate signals of 4 ABS sensors and signals of crankshaft and camshaft sensors. The device has 2 asymmetrical analog inputs. It is possible to modify the device on request and to get two differential analog inputs with an external reference. Additionally the device provides 4 HSS (switched to PWR rail) and 4 LSS outputs (switched to GND rail) to generate programmable stimulus. The device provides also 6 configurable digital inputs with pre-programmed actions.
Car speed simulation can utilize 2 programmable acceleration ramps and 1 pre-programmed panic breaking ramp.
The device is basically configured by the front panel interface and extensive configuration is done by the CAN interface and PC software.
